A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a particular e-mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise stated, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends an email to it, or to any misspelled email address under the same domain name, you will get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be essential if you run some business, for instance. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited messages, you can combine the catch-all functionality with email filters in order to receive only real messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting
In case you host a domain name on our cloud web hosting platform and you have a cloud hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a lot of features, but it is extremely simple to use, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes only one mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be shown in this section alphabetically and you’ll just need to click on the "Catch-all" button for the concrete email address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as easy and requires one more click on the same button.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
You will be able to configure a catch-all address with no more than one click if you’ve got a semi-dedicated hosting plan with us and your emails are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the email addresses that you set up with any domain hosted in the account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Each of them will have a tiny "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable this option will be to click that icon. In the same fashion you will be able to disable the feature, if you don’t need it any longer. Our system will inform you if you are attempting to enable a 2nd catch-all mailbox for a particular domain or in case there’s active email forwarding, but it will never modify or disable any feature automatically and without your permission.
