.NET Domain Names
When the Dot NET generic domain was first introduced in 1985, along with the first domain extensions on the web, it was supposed to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure companies. Since there were no special stipulations about the usage of the TLD, though, .NET domains were bought and used for different purposes and by a lot of people. This domain extension is an ideal alternative to .COM, notably if the necessary domain with the latter extension is not available for registration.
Securing a .NET domain with our company is easy and takes only a couple of minutes, given that we partner with an ICANN-certified registrar. You can obtain such a domain for an interval between one and ten years, or, if you already own a domain, you can transfer it to our firm and we will renew it once the transfer process is finalized. Transfers are available for all domains, which are at least sixty days old, provided that they are not locked and that you have an EPP transfer code – security measures set up by the dot NET Registry against unauthorized transfers. You can easily update the WHOIS info of the domain through your Control Panel interface, or, if you don’t want this information to be accessible at all, you can buy a Whois Privacy Protection service, so no one will be able to get your actual contact information.
The dot NET top-level domain name extension supports internationalized names, so you can decide whether you want to concentrate on a particular country or zone using a domain name in the native language, or the global online community – using a generic English name.
